JEFFERSON CITY -- The Missouri Public Service Commission established the deadline for those parties wishing to intervene and participate in an electric rate case filed by Kansas City Power & Light (KCP&L).
Applications to intervene and participate in this case should be filed no later than July 1, 2010, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. The Commission has scheduled hearings for January in the rate case. Hearings, to be held in Room 310 of the Governor Office Building in Jefferson City (200 Madison Street), are scheduled for January 3-7, and January 10-14, 2011.
The Governor Office Building meets accessibility standards required by the Americans with Disabilities Act. On June 4, 2010, Kansas City Power & Light filed an electric rate case with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking to increase annual electric operating revenues by approximately $92.1 million. According to a KCP&L press release, a typical Missouri residential customer would see a less than $15 per month increase in charges.
KCP&L serves approximately 271,000 electric customers in 13 western Missouri counties.
