PR-09-96 -- MEDIA ADVISORY: Hearing Schedule Modified In KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company Steam Rate Case

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- NOVEMBER 21, 2008

JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has modified the hearing schedule in a steam rate case filed by KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company.  Hearings originally set for April 27-May 1, 2009, are now scheduled for May 4-7, 2009.

These hearings will be held in Room 310 of the Governor Office Building (200 Madison Street) in Jefferson City.  The Governor Office Building meets accessibility standards required by the Americans with Disabilities Act.  If any person needs additional accommodations to participate in these hearings, please call the Public Service Commission’s hotline at 1-800-392-4211 (voice) or Relay Missouri at 711 prior to the hearings.

On September 5, 2008, KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company filed a steam rate case with the Missouri Public Service Commission. According to the application, the company seeks to increase its annual steam operating revenues by approximately $1.3 million (7.7 percent).

KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company serves five steam customers in the St. Joseph, Missouri area.
