FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- NOVEMBER 6, 2008

JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has modified the hearing schedule in an electric rate case filed by Union Electric Company d/b/a AmerenUE.  Hearings, originally scheduled to start on November 17, 2008, will now begin on November 20, 2008.

Hearings are scheduled for November 20-21, 24-25, and December 1-5, 10-12, 2008.  These hearings will be held in Room 310 of the Governor Office Building in Jefferson City (200 Madison Street).

These hearings will be held in a building that meets accessibility standards required by the Americans with Disabilities Act.  If any person needs additional accommodations to participate in the hearings, please call the Public Service Commission’s hotline at 1-800-392-4211 (voice) or Relay Missouri at 711 prior to the hearings.

On April 4, 2008, AmerenUE filed an electric rate case with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking to increase annual electric operating revenues by approximately $251 million.  According to an AmerenUE press release, the requested increase would mean less than $9 more per month for the average household.

AmerenUE provides electric service to approximately 1.2 million customers in Missouri.
