FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- OCTOBER 30, 2008
JEFFERSON CITY—The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved a request filed by Union Electric Company d/b/a AmerenUE to adjust the infrastructure system replacement surcharge (ISRS) on the bills of its natural gas customers. The surcharge first appeared on customer bills in April of this year.
AmerenUE sought the ISRS adjustment to reflect infrastructure replacement investments made by the natural gas company from November 1, 2007 through May 31, 2008. These costs for natural gas pipeline replacements and relocations are not currently included in AmerenUE’s rates.
Residential customers currently pay a surcharge of $0.74 a month. The surcharge will increase to $0.99 a month.
AmerenUE serves approximately 124,700 natural gas customers in Missouri.
