PR-09-43: PSC To Hold Local Public Hearings In St. Louis in AmerenUE Electric Rate Case

JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission will hold two local public hearings in St. Louis on September 17, 2008 to receive customer comment on an electric rate case filed by Union Electric Company d/b/a AmerenUE. These local public hearings will also give consumers the opportunity to bring any service related issues to the commission’s attention.
The September 17, 2008 local public hearing schedule appears below:

*Informal question and answer session begins. The local public hearing will start approximately 30 minutes later. The hearing at the St. Louis County Library-Thornhill Branch Auditorium will be held from noon until 3:00 p.m. or until all of those who wish to testify have done so, whichever is sooner. The hearing at the Wohl Community Center will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. or until all of those who wish to testify have done so, whichever is sooner.
These local public hearings will be held in facilities that meet the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. On April 4, 2008, AmerenUE filed an electric rate case with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking to increase annual electric operating revenues by approximately $251 million. For the average residential customer the proposed increase would be approximately $8.66 a month. AmerenUE’s filing also includes a request to implement a fuel adjustment clause.
AmerenUE provides electric service to approximately 1.2 million customers in Missouri.
