JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission will hold a local public hearing in Jefferson City on September 15, 2008 to receive customer comment on an electric rate case filed by Union Electric Company d/b/a AmerenUE. This local public hearing will also give consumers the opportunity to bring any service related issues to the commission’s attention.

*Informal question and answer session begins. The local public hearing will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. or until all of those who wish to testify have done so, whichever is sooner.
This local public hearing will be held in a facility that meets the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. On April 4, 2008, AmerenUE filed an electric rate case with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking to increase annual electric operating revenues by approximately $251 million. For the average residential customer the proposed increase would be approximately $8.66 a month. AmerenUE’s filing also includes a request to implement a fuel adjustment clause.
AmerenUE provides electric service to approximately 1.2 million customers in Missouri.
