PR-09-204 -- PSC Sets Intervention Deadline In KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company Case

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- JUNE 3, 2009

JEFFERSON CITY—KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company has filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission which contains the company’s annual fuel adjustment clause true-up to remedy an under collection of approximately $1.1 million for the territory formerly served by Aquila Networks-MPS and an under collection of approximately $189,000 for the territory formerly served by Aquila Networks-L&P.

KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company is asking the Commission to approve the under collection amounts as calculated by the company and to authorize the company to include those amounts in its next accumulation period.

Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than June 19, 2009, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102.

KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company provides electric service to approximately 308,000 customers in Missouri.
