JEFFERSON CITY—The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson, LLP has been retained by the Missouri Public Service Commission to propose new ethics rules for the Commission and its staff.
To learn more about the process and to provide input regarding what ethics rules should be proposed before the consultants prepare and circulate an initial draft of proposed rules; the PSC will hold a pre-drafting meeting on Wednesday, April 29, 2009. The public meeting is scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm in Room 310 of the Governor Office Building, 200 Madison Street, Jefferson City.
Throughout this process, all interested parties and the public will be able to review materials pertaining to the ethics review. Intervention requests are not necessary to participate in this case.
The public is welcome to file comments through the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS). Please log onto http://psc.mo.gov/case-filing-information and choose “Submit Public Comments”. Written comments should be sent to the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102. Please reference the case number which is AW-2009-0313.
In addition to the April 29, 2009 meeting, there will be additional opportunities for interested parties to comment on the initial draft rules at public meetings, which are to be set in late May or early June.
