PR-08-112 -- PSC Sets Intervention Deadline In AmerenUE IRP Case

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- FEBRUARY 11, 2008

JEFFERSON CITY—Union Electric Company d/b/a AmerenUE has filed with the Missouri Public Service Commission its 2008 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP).  Such a filing is required under commission rules for all investor-owned electric utilities in Missouri.

 The purpose of the IRP rule is to require Missouri’s electric utilities to undertake an adequate planning process to ensure that the public interest in a reasonably priced, reliable, and efficient energy supply is protected.

Applications to intervene and participate in this case should be filed no later than February 27, 2008, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102.  Copies should be sent to: Wendy K. Tatro, Associate General Counsel and Thomas M. Byrne, Managing Associate General Counsel, Ameren Services Company, 1901 Chouteau Avenue, P.O. Box 66149, St. Louis, Missouri 63166-6149; and the Office of the Public Counsel, P.O. Box 2230, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102-2230.
