PR-09-11 -- PSC Sets Local Public Hearing Schedule in AmerenUE Rate Case

JEFFERSON CITY—The Missouri Public Service Commission will hold 14 local public hearings in September to receive customer comment on an electric rate case filed by Union Electric Company d/b/a AmerenUE.  The schedule appears below. 

September 8—St. Louis.  Harris Stowe University, Emerson Performance Center-Bank of America Theater, 3026 Laclede Avenue.  Question and answer session starts at 11:30 a.m.  The local public hearing will be held from noon until 3:00 p.m. or until all of those who wish to testify have done so, whichever is sooner.

September 8—Kirkwood.  St. Louis Community College, Meramec Campus, Room BA-105, 11333 Big Bend Road Question and answer session begins at 5:30 p.m.  The local public hearing will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. or until all of those who wish to testify have done so, whichever is sooner. 

September 10—Hayti.  Hayti High School, Library-ITV Room, 500 North 4th Street.  Question and answer session starts at 11:30 a.m.  The local public hearing will be held from noon until 3:00 p.m. or until all of those who wish to testify have done so, whichever is sooner.

September 10—Dexter.  Dexter High School Auditorium, 1101 West Grant Street.  Question and answer session begins at 5:30 p.m.  The local public hearing will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. or until all of those who wish to testify have done so, whichever is sooner.

September 11—Wentzville.  Wentzville R-IV School District, Central Office Building-Board Room, One Campus Drive Question and answer session begins at 5:30 p.m.  The local public hearing will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. or until all of those who wish to testify have done so, whichever is sooner.

September 15—Jefferson City.  Missouri Public Service Commission, Governor Office Building, Room 310, 200 Madison Street.  Question and answer session begins at 5:30 p.m.  The local public hearing will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. or until all of those who wish to testify have done so, whichever is sooner.

September 15—Kirksville.  Higher Education Center-Classroom, 2105 East Normal Street.  Question and answer session begins at 5:30 p.m.  The local public hearing will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. or until all of those who wish to testify have done so, whichever is sooner.

 September 16—Excelsior Springs.  Excelsior Springs School District, Board Meeting Room (located in the Early Childhood Center), 113 Line Street.   Question and answer session begins at 5:30 p.m.  The local public hearing will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. or until all of those who wish to testify have done so, whichever is sooner.

September 17—St. Louis.  St. Louis County Library-Thornhill Branch Auditorium, 12863 Willowyck Drive.  Question and answer session starts at 11:30 a.m.  The local public hearing will be held from noon until 3:00 p.m. or until all of those who wish to testify have done so, whichever is sooner.

September 17—St. Louis.  Wohl Community Center, 1515 North Kingshighway Boulevard.  Question and answer session begins at 5:30 p.m.  The local public hearing will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. or until all of those who wish to testify have done so, whichever is sooner.

September 18—Moberly.   Moberly Area Community College, 101 College Avenue.  Question and answer session begins at 5:30 p.m.  The local public hearing will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. or until all of those who wish to testify have done so, whichever is sooner.

September 18—St. Charles.   St. Charles Administration Building, Room 115, 201 North 2nd Street.  Question and answer session begins at 5:30 p.m.  The local public hearing will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. or until all of those who wish to testify have done so, whichever is sooner.

September 22—Mexico.  Mexico TCRC, 2900 Doreli Lane.  Question and answer session begins at 5:30 p.m.  The local public hearing will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. or until all of those who wish to testify have done so, whichever is sooner.

September 22—Hillsboro.   Jefferson College, Arts & Science II-Room 301, 1000 Viking Drive.  Question and answer session begins at 5:30 p.m.  The local public hearing will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. or until all of those who wish to testify have done so, whichever is sooner.

The local public hearings will be held in facilities that meet the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.  Any person who needs additional accommodations to participate in the hearings should call the Public Service Commission’s hotline at 1-800-392-4211 (voice) or Relay Missouri at 711 before the hearings.

On April 4, 2008, AmerenUE filed an electric rate case with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking to increase annual electric operating revenues by approximately $251 million.  For the average residential customer the proposed increase would be approximately $8.66 a month.  AmerenUE’s filing also includes a request to implement a fuel adjustment clause.

AmerenUE provides electric service to approximately 1.2 million customers in Missouri.
