PR-08-119 -- PSC Sets Intervention Deadline in Aquila Request

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – FEBRUARY 26, 2008

JEFFERSON CITY -- Aquila, Inc. has filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking commission authority to construct and operate a new 161 kV electric substation.  The substation would replace an existing 69 kV substation located at the same site in Cass County near Peculiar, Missouri.  The new substation will be located at 9707 East Street, along Route YY.

Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than March 14, 2008, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102.  Copies of the application should be sent to: Renee Parsons, Aquila, Inc., 20 West Ninth Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64105; and the Office of the Public Counsel, P.O. Box 2230, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102.
