FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- AUGUST 12, 2009
JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved a request filed by Union Electric Company d/b/a AmerenUE to adjust the infrastructure system replacement surcharge (ISRS) on the bills of its natural gas customers. The surcharge first appeared on customer bills in April 2008.
AmerenUE sought the adjustment to the current ISRS to reflect infrastructure replacement investments made by the natural gas company from June 1, 2008 through May 31, 2009. These costs for natural gas pipeline replacements and relocations are not currently included in AmerenUE’s rates.
Residential customers currently pay a surcharge of $0.99 a month. The surcharge will be adjusted to $1.62 a month.
AmerenUE provides natural gas service to approximately 125,600 customers in 26 Missouri counties.
