PSC Approves Transfer Of Water Company Assets
JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved a joint application which authorizes Moore Bend Water Company, Inc. to transfer its water system assets to Moore Bend Water Utility, LLC.
In a memorandum to the Commission, the Public Service Commission Staff recommended the Commission approve the transfer of assets stating that Moore Bend Water Utility, LLC has adequate technical, managerial and financial capacity to operate the water system.
As part of its approval of the transfer of assets, the Commission has directed Moore Bend Water Utility, LLC to secure legal rights to the property on which the supply wells are located and to file documents supporting its efforts and securing those rights. In addition, Moore Bend Water Utility, LLC will be required to apply for a Commission Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to operate a water company.
Moore Bend Water Utility, LLC is a limited liability company owned by Ozark International, Inc.; a Missouri corporation.
Moore Bend Water Company, Inc. currently provides water service to approximately 90 customers near Kissee Mills, Missouri.
