Missouri Universal Service Fund
The Missouri Universal Service Fund was established on March 31, 2002 to help low-income and disabled Missourians receive additional discounts for basic local telephone service. You may qualify for a discount on your monthly telephone bill if you are receiving low income or disability benefits under certain programs.
The current Missouri Universal Service Fund assessment rate is .0017 (0.17%) and the current Missouri Universal Service Fund monthly support amount is $3.50. The Missouri Public Service Commission issued an order (Case No. TO-2014-0333), effective October 1, 2014, decreasing the assessment rate to .0010 (0.10%) and increasing the monthly support amount to $6.50.
