PSC Sets Local Public Hearing Schedule In Missouri Gas Energy Rate Case

JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission will hold local public hearings in February in a natural gas rate case filed by Missouri Gas Energy, a division of Laclede Gas Company (MGE).  The local public hearing schedule appears below.
February 18, 2014—Joplin.  Corley Auditorium (located in Webster Hall), Missouri Southern State University, 3950 Newman Road.  A PSC staff public information/question and answer session starts at 6:00 p.m., with the taking of sworn statements to follow.
February 24, 2014—Kansas City.  Cohen Center, Kansas City Public Library-Plaza Branch, 4801 Main Street.  A PSC staff public information/question and answer session starts at 12:00 p.m., with the taking of sworn statements to follow.
February 24, 2014—Gladstone.  Gladstone Room, Gladstone Community Center, 6901 N. Holmes Street.  A PSC staff public information/question and answer session starts at 6:00 p.m., with the taking of sworn statements to follow.
February 25, 2014—St. Joseph.  Theater, St. Joseph Public Library-East Hills Branch, 502 N. Woodbine Road.  A PSC staff public information/question and answer session starts at 12:00 p.m., with the taking of sworn statements to follow.
February 25, 2014—Independence.  Program Rooms 1 and 2, Mid-Continent Public Library-North Independence Branch, 317 W. 24 Highway.  A PSC staff public information/question and answer session starts at 5:30 p.m., with the taking of sworn statements to follow.
These local public hearings will be held in facilities that meet the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.  Any person who needs additional accommodations to participate in these hearings should call the Public Service Commission’s hotline at 1-800-392-4211 (voice) or Relay Missouri at 711 before the hearings.
On September 16, 2013, MGE filed a natural gas rate case with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking a general rate increase of approximately $23.4 million.  MGE serves approximately 500,000 natural gas customers in Missouri.
