PSC Sets Intervention Deadline In Summit Natural Gas Case
JEFFERSON CITY---Summit Natural Gas of Missouri, Inc. (Summit) seeks Commission approval to extend a conversion program for the former Southern Missouri Gas Company territory that has been in place since approximately 1994. In the absence of a new tariff, the program expired on December 31, 2012. In addition, as part of this request, Summit is seeking a variance from portions of the Commission’s promotional practices rules.
According to the application, the conversion program provides “no charge” unit conversions for residential and commercial customers up to $350. Costs in excess of $350 are recovered by Summit through a pro rata monthly charge added to the customer’s monthly natural gas bill for a period of up to 36 months. The application states the most common conversions are to change parts for the purpose of converting propane burning appliances to natural gas burning appliances.
Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than February 25, 2013, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the Commission’s electronic filing and information service (EFIS).
