PSC Sets Intervention Deadline In Missouri Gas Energy Infrastructure Surcharge Request
JEFFERSON CITY---Missouri Gas Energy (MGE) has filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking to adjust the infrastructure system replacement surcharge (ISRS) on the bills of its natural gas customers. The surcharge first appeared on customer bills in April 2004.
MGE is seeking the adjustment to reflect infrastructure replacement investments made by the natural gas company since June 2012. These costs for natural gas pipeline replacements and relocations are not currently included in MGE’s rates.
The current ISRS for residential customers is $0.69 a month. MGE proposes to increase the ISRS to $0.96 a month.
Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than February 22, 2013, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS).
MGE provides natural gas service to approximately 500,000 customers in Missouri.
