PSC Approves Agreement In MGE Infrastructure Surcharge Case
JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved a unanimous agreement filed by Missouri Gas Energy, a division of Laclede Gas Company (MGE), the PSC Staff, the Office of the Public Counsel and the Midwest Gas Users’ Association which authorizes a change in MGE’s current infrastructure system replacement surcharge (ISRS). The ISRS first appeared on customer bills in April 2004.
The ISRS adjustment reflects infrastructure replacement investments made by the natural gas company since January 2013. These costs for natural gas pipeline replacements and relocations are not currently included in MGE’s rates.
The current ISRS for residential customers is $0.96 a month. As a result of this filing, the ISRS will be adjusted and residential customers will pay $1.22 a month effective March 21, 2014.
MGE provides natural gas service to approximately 501,000 customers in Missouri.
