PSC To Hold Local Public Hearing In Nevada In Kanssas City Power & Light Company and KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Electric Rate Cases

JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission will hold a local public hearing in Nevada on September 6, 2012, in electric rate cases filed by Kansas City Power & Light Company and KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company.  The local public hearing schedule appears below.
September 6—Nevada.  Vernon County Courthouse, 100 West Cherry Street.  A PSC staff public information/question and answer session starts at 12:00 p.m. with the taking of sworn testimony to follow.
This local public hearing will be held in a facility that meets the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.  Any person who needs additional accommodations to participate in this hearing should call the Public Service Commission’s hotline at 1-800-392-4211 (voice) or Relay Missouri at 711 before the hearing.

On February 27, 2012, KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company filed a rate case with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking to increase annual electric revenues by approximately $58.3 million (10.9%) in the MPS area and by $25.2 million (14.6%) in the L&P area.  KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company provides electric service to approximately 309,200 customers in Missouri.
Also on February 27, 2012, Kansas City Power & Light Company filed a rate case with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking to increase annual electric revenues by approximately $105.7 million (15.1%).  Kansas City Power & Light Company provides electric service to approximately 270,000 customers in Missouri.
