PSC Sets Intervention Deadline In KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Fuel Adjustment Charge Cases
JEFFERSON CITY---KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company (GMO) has filed a request with the Missouri Public Service Commission to adjust the fuel adjustment clause (FAC) charge on the bills of its electric customers to reflect fuel and purchased power costs during the six month period December 2012 through May 2013.
According to the company, the requested change will increase a typical residential customer’s bill by approximately $0.78 a month in the company’s MPS rate area (Kansas City) and increase a typical residential customer’s bill by approximately $1.29 a month in the company’s L&P rate area (St. Joseph).
The proposed FAC charge adjustments also reflect the company’s annual FAC true-up (Case No. ER-2014-0001). In that filing, GMO states the true-up reflects an under collection of approximately $314,400 for the territory served by MPS and an under collection of approximately $357,600 for the territory served by L&P.
Applications to intervene and participate in these cases must be filed no later than July 30, 2013, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the Commission’s electronic filing and information service (EFIS).
