PSC Sets Intervention Deadline In Empire District Electric Fuel Adjustment Charge Case
JEFFERSON CITY---The Empire District Electric Company (Empire) has filed a request with the Missouri Public Service Commission to adjust the fuel adjustment charge (FAC) on the bills of its electric customers.
Empire has made two filings. In its annual true-up filing (Case No. EO-2014-0265), Empire states the true-up reflects an over-recovery of approximately $231,336. In a separate filing (Case No. ER-2014-0264), Empire proposes to adjust the FAC to reflect fuel and purchased power costs for the six month period of September 2013 through February 2014.
For a residential customer using 1,000 kWh (1,000 kilowatt-hours) of electricity a month, Empire states these two filings will result in the FAC increasing by approximately $1.49 a month. The proposed change would take effect in June 2014.
Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than April 16, 2014,
with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102-0360, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at www.psc.mo.gov
