PSC Sets Intervention Deadline In Ameren Missouri Electric Fuel And Purchased Power Adjustment Charge Case
JEFFERSON CITY---Union Electric Company d/b/a Ameren Missouri has filed a request with the Missouri Public Service Commission to adjust the fuel and purchased power adjustment charge (FAC) on the bills of its electric customers.
In its filing, Ameren Missouri states the proposed adjustment to customer rates reflects changes in its fuel and purchased power costs, including transportation and net of off-system sales revenues experienced during the four month period of June 2013 through September 2013 (Case No. ER-2014-0163). The filing also reflects the company’s annual FAC true-up (Case No. ER-2014-0164) and a customer refund ordered by the Commission in a July 2013 decision (Case No. EO-2012-0074).
In its annual FAC true-up filing, Ameren Missouri states the true-up reflects an undercollection of approximately $105,339 from customers.
A typical residential electric customer currently pays an FAC of approximately $4.10 a month. Under this filing, it would drop by approximately $1.13 a month, to $2.97 a month. The proposed change would take effect in February 2014.
Applications to intervene and participate in this case should be filed no later than December 22, 2013, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102-0360.
Ameren Missouri serves approximately 1.2 million electric customers in Missouri.
