On
April 27, 2016[1],
the Office of the Public Counsel (“OPC”) filed a complaint with the Missouri
Public Service Commission against Laclede Gas Company (“Laclede”) and Missouri
Gas Energy (“MGE”). The complaint
alleges that Laclede and MGE’s rates are excessive and should be reduced.
Pursuant
to Commission Rule 4 CSR 240‑2.070, Laclede and MGE have thirty days
from the date of this notice to file an answer.
Since this notice is being issued on April 28, the thirty-day period
will expire on Saturday, May 28. That
means the answer is due no later than Tuesday, May 31, since May 30 is Memorial
Day.
The
Commission will also establish a date for the filing of applications to
intervene. That date will be set ten
days before the answer is due so that responses to those applications to
intervene can be filed at the same time as the answer.
As required by Section 536.067(2)(f), RSMo 2000, the Commission
informs the parties that the Commission’s provisions governing procedures
before the Commission, including provisions relating to discovery, are found at
Commission Rule 4
CSR 240-2.090.
THE COMMISSION ORDERS THAT:
1.
The Commission’s Data Center shall send, by
certified mail, a copy of this notice and order and a copy of the complaint to
Laclede Gas Company and Missouri Gas Energy at:

2.
Laclede Gas Company and Missouri Gas Energy shall
file their answer to this complaint no later than May 31, 2016. All pleadings shall be mailed to:

or shall be filed using the Commission’s electronic filing and information
service.
3. Any party wishing to intervene in this
case shall apply to intervene no later than May 20, 2016.
4. Any person or entity wishing to respond
to any application to intervene shall do so no later than May 31, 2016.
5. This order shall be effective when
issued.
