ORDER CANCELING ETC DESIGNATION

 

Issue Date:  December 9, 2014                                Effective Date: December 19, 2014  

 

          On November 25, 2014, the Commission’s Staff filed a motion asking the Commission to cancel the Eligible Telecommunications Carrier (ETC) status of ExOp of Missouri, Inc., d/b/a FairPoint Communications.  Staff’s motion explains that ExOp has contacted Staff and asked to relinquish its ETC status in its Kearney and Platte City, Missouri exchanges.[1]  The Commission ordered that anyone wishing to respond to Staff’s motion do so no later than December 5.  No one has responded.

          The Commission will grant Staff’s unopposed motion.

THE COMMISSION ORDERS THAT:

1.          ExOp of Missouri, Inc., d/b/a FairPoint Communications’ designation as an Eligible Telecommunications Carrier for the receipt of low-income support from the federal Universal Service Fund in its Kearney and Platte City, Missouri exchanges is cancelled.

 

 

 

2.          This order shall be effective on December 19, 2014.
