ORDER GRANTING APPLICATIONS TO INTERVENE

On March 26, 2014, Grain Belt Express Clean Line LLC filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission (“Commission”) for a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity to construct, own, operate, control, manage and maintain a high voltage, direct current transmission line and associated facilities within Buchanan, Clinton, Caldwell, Carroll, Chariton, Randolph, Monroe and Ralls Counties, Missouri, as well as an associated converter station in Ralls County.

The deadline for persons requesting to intervene in this matter is April 25, 2014.  On April 9, 2014, the Missouri Landowners Alliance filed an application to intervene.  On April 10, 2014, the Eastern Missouri Landowners Alliance d/b/a Show Me Concerned Landowners filed an application to intervene.  On April 11, 2014, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Locals 2, 53, and 1439, AFL-CIO filed a similar application.  Ten days have elapsed and no parties have objected to any of the applications.  The applications satisfy all requirements of Commission Rule 4 CSR 240‑2.075 and intervention will be granted. 

THE COMMISSION ORDERS THAT:

1.               The application to intervene filed by the Missouri Landowners Alliance is granted.

2.               The application to intervene filed by Eastern Missouri Landowners Alliance d/b/a Show Me Concerned Landowners is granted.

3.               The application to intervene filed by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Locals 2, 53, and 1439, AFL-CIO is granted.

4.               This order shall become effective immediately upon issuance.
