NOTICE OF CLARIFICATION

Issue Date:  November 12, 2014

On November 12, 2014, the Commission issued its Order Approving Tariff to Change Fuel Adjustment Clause Rates (“Order”) in the above-captioned matter. The Commission’s order will go into effect on December 1, 2014. In its Order, the Commission states that “[t]he requested adjustments would decrease the FAC of an Empire residential customer’s monthly bill from $1.73 to $1.08; a decrease of $0.65 per month.” The Commission is clarifying that the decreased monthly bill referenced in the Order does not guarantee decreased bills for all customers of The Empire District Electric Company. Rather, it is an estimate of the impact the revised FAC will have on the bill of a residential customer, based on a monthly usage of 1,000 kWh.
